Christian Decker
Christian is professor of International Business, especially International and Corporate Finance, at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg).
His teaching portfolio encompasses courses in corporate finance, project finance, financial modelling, international capital markets, international corporate finance, fundamentals of finance, and academic research and writing. He has specialised in instructional designs that are grounded on competency-based education as well as educational media. His focus lies on the development and execution of course scenarios deploying e-learning, blended learning, inverted classroom (flipped classroom) as well as project-based, case-based and research-based learning. In 2012 and 2017, he was awarded the Hamburg Teaching Award.
Christian graduated with a degree in Business Administration (Dipl.-Kfm.) from the University of Hamburg and received his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) from the University of Bremen, Institute for World Economics and International Management (IWIM).
